Salmon Burger w/Scriracha Tartar Sauce
This Salmon Burger with Scriracha Tartar sauce gets some extra flavor with an added slice of bacon. Instead of cooking the salmon in a skillet, I decided to cook them on the grill. As you might have noticed, we cook pretty much everything on the grill! LOL! Serve the burger with a side salad or fries (they are cooked in the oven) and you will have a wonderful dinner.
Prep/Cook time: 40 minutes; Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 4 6-oz. salmon fillets from one slab of salmon
- garlic oil
- salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
- 4-6 slices of bacon, cooked
- lettuce & tomato
- brioche buns
Scriracha Tartar Sauce
- 1 cup tartar sauce, store bought
- 2 tsp. scriracha sauce
Starting with the tartar sauce, combine the tartar and scriracha sauce in a small bowl. If you like it a little more spicy, feel free to add a little more scriracha.
Heat your BBQ to medium to high heat.
Spray a large sheet of aluminium foil with cooking spray. Place the slab of salmon on the foil, rub with garlic oil, season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with the parsley.
Cook the salmon for 10-14 minutes. Let the it rest for a few minutes and then carefully remove the skin with a small spatula.
Spread the scriracha tartar sauce on both sides of the brioche buns. Slice the salmon into fillets and place on the bottom bun. Add the bacon, tomato and lettuce. Voila! I recommend a cold glass of Rose with this yummy salmon burger.
